This section contains my complete set of waterfall photographs, arranged by municipality clockwise around the country starting from Reykjavík. Click on a photo below to navigate to a page for each municipality.

I’ve included some notes on getting to the waterfalls when it’s not obvious.

• The National Land Survey of Iceland has an interactive map viewer that provides detailed information on land features and place names.

• Sarpur.is is a cultural history database that is useful for looking up place names and for reading descriptions of areas in the countryside. It’s in Icelandic only.

• The Icelandic Association of Local Authorities has a website where there is an overview of Icelandic municipalities.
